Since leaving a nearly decade long career in theatrical design behind in 2013, I have had the privilege of working on a large variety of projects that span the corporate world, the not-for-profit arts world, and many worlds in between. I am skilled in both print and digital design, and enjoy both equally
Most recently I began studying UI/UX design at RED Academy in order to improve my data driven design and user research skills. I value being able to serve the users who interact with my product and this program has enabled me to make even stronger design decisions that accomplish this.
There is a tremendous amount of power in being able to distill the ideas and thoughts behind brands into digital design that helps users interact with it in ways that would never have been possible a decade before. That's why I am constantly learning and improving upon my skills - whether that means watching the latest tutorial on Figma, or working on personal projects to better understand things like interaction design.
For me a design is only as good as its weakest element, which means I am constantly using my attention to detail to examine and improve upon my work until even my buttons are pixel perfect. My work uses rich colour palettes, visually dynamic composition, and strong typography to capture viewers' attention and help connect them with the why behind the project — no matter the scope or scale.
